Children may also enter any of the classes in the Garden, Industrial and Crofting and Fishing Sections. This will be 50p per class.

·                       These competitions are open to people   residing in any district.

·                       Competitors must enter exhibits from OWN garden/croft/boat or be made    

              by their OWN hand or risk disqualification.

·                       Competitors are restricted to a maximum of   20 classes over the three

              Open Sections (Garden, Industrial, Croft and Fishing). 

·                       The word ‘local’ in the schedule refers to Barra and Vatersay.

·                       All exhibits should be handed in on Friday 3rd September between 6.30pm

              and 8.30pm or on Saturday 4th September between 8.30am and

              10.00am.  Judging commences at 10.15am.

·                       Competitors must supply OWN VASE (the use of jam jars are acceptable)

              and supply OWN PAPER PLATES as well.

·                       All exhibits should be accompanied with an entry slip marked with class

              number and containing name and address of entrant to be handed in with

              exhibit.  Where applicable, slips to be attached to jars with elastic bands  

              and pinned firmly to cakes or plates.

·                       No entry money refunded for articles which have been entered but which are

              not exhibited.

·                       No tinned or packet mixes to be used.

·                       In all matters, the decision of the Judges shall be final and no protest will be  

             entertained.

·                       ALL ARTICLES ON SHOW NOT INTENDED FOR SALE MUST BE  

             CLEARLY MARKED “NOT FOR SALE” and owners of these exhibits are

             requested to remove them just before the sale.

·                       Not more than one entry per exhibitor per class.

·                       Entrants names must be clearly stated.

·                       THE COMMITTEE WILL NOT ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY IN THE EVENT

              OF LOSS OR DAMAGE OF ANY EXHIBITS.
